iMovie Reflection
I really had fun playing with iMovie. I had never used this program before, so everything was new! It was a ton of fun to record myself and then add funny, special effects. It was cool to add transitions, backgrounds, funny effects, and the burns effect. I can see why iMovie is an important program to know how to use. I am sure that we will use it often during our major, as well as when we graduate. It would be fun to make fun movies of students in physical education and then show it to them and their parents at the end of the year. I am still not exactly sure how to use all of the different things in iMovie--but I'm sure as I learn and practice with the program, the better and funner iMovie will be!

Internet Safety
Internet safety is a very important thing for people of all ages to know. In 2008, Congress
passed the Protecting Children in the 21st Century Act, which established the Online
Safety Technology Group, which is a panel of 29 representatives from Internet companies,
academia, non-profit organizations, and government to study and repost on how to best protect
kids online. This is very neat that Congress has set up Acts and other things to protect
kids from internet danger. Kids should not be afraid of the internet; they just need to be aware
of what is smart and what they can and can not do while online. The internet is a huge part of
our lives--everyone uses it! People need to know the proper way to use the resources that the
internet provides. Home computers that have the internet need to be in a open area, not in a
back room.
Students in schools need to learn Internet Safety at an early age. In the future when I am a teacher, I will use the internet to post newsletters, grades, upcoming events, etc. If my students are not aware of what is and is not appropriate on the internet, I will teach them. However, hopefully my students will have already learned it from an earlier grade. Also, if I have my students use the internet during class, it is important that I supervise them and not leave them alone while online.
I taught my roommate about Internet Safety. I basically just gave her an overview of how to use the internet without any problems. I reviewed with her that you do not put any personal information online. I also told her that chat rooms are pretty creepy and it is a good idea to just stay away from them. I ended the lesson by telling her that the internet is a fun, great tool that we have and we should not be afraid of it--we just need to know how to use it safely.

Internet Communications Project
I really enjoyed making my website! I had a lot of fun! I have never made a website before, so everything that I did was new to me. It was really fun to figure out how to add videos, pictures, and other things! The hardest part in this assignment for me was making the google class calendar. I had problems trying to make it on my laptop, so I used my roommate's mac. The calendar worked great on the mac.
